This model offers an authentic representation of one of the unique light tanks used by the British Army during World War II, specifically modified for close support roles.
 
The Tetrarch CS was a variant of the British Mk VII Tetrarch light tank, developed to provide close support to infantry units. While the original Tetrarch was equipped with a 2-pounder anti-tank gun, the CS version was fitted with a 3-inch howitzer, designed to fire high-explosive and smoke shells. This modification allowed the Tetrarch CS to offer effective fire support against enemy infantry and fortifications. The Tetrarch tanks, including the CS variant, were notably used during the D-Day landings, where they were deployed via gliders to support airborne operations.
