The "t" in its designation denotes its Czech origins.
 
The Ausf. G variant was one of the last production models of the Panzer 38(t) series. Armed with the reliable 37mm KwK 38(t) L/47.8 gun and supported by 7.92mm MG 37(t) machine guns, the Panzer 38(t) Ausf.
