Renowned for its reliability and effectiveness, the Panzer 38(t) played a significant role during the early years of World War II, particularly in the invasions of Poland, France, and the Soviet Union. The "t" in its designation stands for "tschechisch," meaning "Czech" in German, highlighting its origins.
 
The Ausf. C variant, an evolution of the initial models, featured improvements in armor and internal systems, maintaining the same 37mm KwK 38(t) L/47.8 gun and 7.92mm MG 37(t) machine guns as its predecessors.
