The BA-3 armored car was developed in the early 1930s based on the earlier BA-1 design. It was one of the first Soviet armored cars to be equipped with a powerful 45mm gun, similar to the one used in the T-26 tank, providing significant firepower for its time. The BA-3 saw service in various conflicts, including the Spanish Civil War, the Winter War against Finland, and the early years of World War II.
