  • What materials are available for printing?
For DLP printing, we use a Grey ABS-Like Resin with enhanced strength and toughness, which provides high precision and minimal shrinkage. For FDM printing, we primarily use PLA, available in grey or black. If you require a different material, please contact us at Hello@bunker-miniatures.co.uk.
  • What 3D printing technologies do you use?
We use Filament (FDM) and Resin (DLP) printers. FDM printers build objects by melting and extruding thermoplastic filament, suitable for durable and functional parts. DLP printers create highly detailed models by curing liquid resin with a light source, ideal for complex designs.
  • Filament or Resin?
Filament (FDM) is generally more cost-effective and better for larger, less detailed items. It’s easier to work with and requires less post-processing. PLA is readily available, making it a good choice for basic prototypes and functional parts. Resin (DLP) offers higher precision and is better for intricate designs with fine details. It’s ideal for small objects like miniature models. However, it's usually more expensive and involves more complex post-processing. Consider what you’re aiming to achieve with your print, your budget, and how much detail you need.
  • Should I send Supported Files or Unsupported files?
For our 3D printing services, we prefer receiving supported files, as modelers have optimized the supports for efficiency and effectiveness. This not only saves time but also reduces costs for you, as pre-supported files are generally cheaper to print due to reduced preparation on our end. However, if needed, we can add supports to unsupported files. Please consider sending supported files to ensure the best quality and pricing for your prints.
  • What 3D printing file formats do you accept?
We accept various 3D file formats including STL, STP, OBJ, 3MF, FBX, and Blender files.
  • Can I send you a File I bought online?
Yes, you can send a file you purchased online for printing, but you should first ensure you have the right to do so. Check the terms of purchase or licensing agreement of the file to confirm whether you are allowed to use it for 3D printing by a third party. If in doubt, it’s best to contact the original creator or the platform from which you purchased the file to obtain permission.
  • How do I submit a design for printing?
Please submit your design files through our website’s Get A Quote upload page.
  • How do you handle shipping and delivery?
We offer delivery within the UK only, using Royal Mail 24hr Tracked at a flat rate of £4.70. Please ensure your delivery details are accurate when placing an order.
  • What is the turnaround time for a print job?
The estimated production time for Resin printed miniatures is approximately 3-5 business days, while for FDM terrain items10-15 business days. For larger or more complex projects, please allow up to 28 days. We recommend contacting us well in advance to ensure timely delivery of your project.
  • What is your policy on returns or issues with the print?
Where you have provided the STL file, we will ensure that the item is printed to the highest standards. However, please note that any dissatisfaction related to the design or aesthetics of the file, as it originates from a third-party source, is beyond our control. This does not affect your statutory rights. Refunds are processed within seven days and may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your statement. For more detailed information, please visit our returns policy page.
  • How can I ensure my design is confidential?
Your designs are kept strictly confidential and are never shared. We retain files for up to three months for quality assurance purposes, after which they are permanently deleted from our system. This ensures your intellectual property remains secure and private.
